CAPE CANAVERAL — A blaze of rocket fire bathed the Kennedy Space Center like a sunrise at 2:28 this morning, as the space shuttle Endeavour launched into orbit. Astronauts will spend 16 days on their mission, the longest visit by a shuttle crew to the international space station. Among the highlights: setting up a Canadian-built, two-armed robot for the station, and starting to set up a Japanese laboratory called Kibo.
